# Utility

### Model and Agent Launchpad

The $POV token powers a marketplace of AI models and agents. The central mechanism of this marketplace is the Perspective AI Launchpad. $POV is deposited as currency into bidding contracts or pools, which, when filled, launch child tokens. These tokens then solely trade against $POV and represent ownership shares of various models and agents.

### Staking - Perspective Vaults

The Perspective Vaults represent the staking and governance layer of the protocol. Tokens staked into a vault generate yield in $POV emitted from the master emission contract based on size of stake, number of all stakes and time staked. Total stake in the Perspective Vault also influences the bidding weight of the holder in the Launchpad.

The Vaults come in four lockup durations: 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and 1 year.

### Governance - DAO

Governance of the Perspective AI protocol works on a vote-escrow system and will function through Snapshots. Stakes into the Perspective Vault mint untransferable vote-escrow tokens vePOV, which represent the voting power of holders. These are burned in order to un-stake. The governance system controls the governance treasury allocation. It also influences and directs the distribution of POV emissions.
